Moms, dads and grandparents
no matter the age of your child
Our group is for parents who have a child in active addiction, who have a child in recovery, who have a child who is incarcerated due to substance use or for parents who have lost their child to this horrible disease.
Parents who understand
Meet and hear from parents who have experienced having a child suffering from substance use disorder. Our meetings are your safe place, and what is said at a meeting stays at the meeting. You can connect with other parents who are also on their recovery journey, or you can remain as anonymous as you like. It doesn't matter if your child is 16 or 60, we welcome you. Our group is for parents who have a child currently in active addiction, who have a child in recovery or who have lost their child.
Our meetings contain an educational component. Each week, we will invest about 20 minutes presenting information regarding to different topics pertaining to addiction. You'll learn about the science of addiction, different types of drugs, enabling, healthy boundaries, communication, types of treatment, relapse and ending the stigma. We also regularly bring in guest speakers.
As we say each week, there is always HOPE!
Each week, we will have a time of support and sharing. You can take a turn to talk or just sit and listen as others share what is on their hearts or what has gone on in their week.
We have a specific small group for parents
